Description: Built by the Fisher family of Puntney NSW
"Amy McLaren" is a classic 20' Gentleman's Launch with a beam of 8' carvel construction with clear grain Oregon planking on Spotted Gum frames, copper nailed and roved. Built by the Fisher family of Putney NSW around the late 50's she is powered by a Yanmar 2GM 20 hp with shaft drive. Ideal for day trips with the option of camping overnight with the addition of some basic necessities.

Purchased by an ex Halvorsen Shipwright then lovingly restored she was originally clenched nail fastened however on rebuilding 24 steam bent frames were replaced and re-nailed with copper nails and roves making a stronger fastening with the exception of a small section on the top sides forward. Likewise the forward and aft decking were also replaced and waterproofed with fiberglass cloth set in epoxy. An Oregon spline was installed into all seams except garboard plank which was caulked to the keel. The hull was re-faired producing a beautiful finish and a perfect base for the new polyurethane paint job.

If your into timber launches this is worth inspecting.
