Description: Kadey Krogen 58 Trawler
THE KROGEN 58' REPRESENTS A GIANT STEP FORWARD, both for this builder and for the industry as a whole. Nothing has been spared to bring her to fruition, from the intellectual rigor applied to arrive at the best possible design, to the care in the selection of the very best construction methods and materials.

First and foremost, the Krogen 58' is a home away from home, even a primary home, as the case could be. Every comfort has been provided. There's never the need to leave the nest to travel - you just take it with you, practically anywhere in the world you can find a fathom (or less) of water.

The 58' is as perfectly suited for those new to the cruising world as it is for "old salts". She's solid and sure in the open ocean, with systems chosen for their reliability and simplicity of operation. The Krogen 58' could just as capably take you from Annapolis to Athens, as from Nantucket to Newport. Whatever the destination, this capable trawler yachts is ready to go and is truly, at home on any sea.

Please call Andrew Coffey to arrange for your personal inspection, slip for survey, sea trial, shipping and Customs entry. Andrew is Kadey Krogen's representative for Australia and New Zealand for both new and brokerage Kadey Krogen yachts.

Construction
Solid fibreglass below the waterline with Kevlar-reinforced stem and stern bottom areas and vinlyester resins used in first two (2) laminates. Above the waterline a combination of Knyex, mat and Airex are used for added resiliency as well as improved sound and thermal insulation.

The superstructure includes Knytex combined with end-grained balsa and/or Divinycell coring and surface mats (to reduce print-through). Cook gel coat is used on the superstructure. Teak aft and side decks. Boat deck and fore deck are finished with GripTex non-skid.

Freeman weather-tight doors and GEBO windows have been used throughout the vessel.

Saloon
The saloon is warm and inviting yet large enough for stylish entertaining. Entrance is through double Freeman doors from the fully covered aft deck. As found throughout SATAURIA, the joinery and cabinetry utilizes cherry and teak. To starboard is a large L-shaped settee with hi-lo folding table. To port are two (2) Ekornes stressless chairs with ottomans and a bookcase/storage unit. There is also a fitted rug with SoundDown padding, mini-blinds and leather upholstery.
