Description: Northern Marine Expedition Motor Yacht 24 M
SOLD AND SETTLED !
Northern Marine 80 Expedition Motor Yacht- REDUCED BY $200,000 TO MEET THE MARKET !!She is the best value for you $$$ expedition motor yacht on the global market today. Based on the North Sea all weather fishing super trawler hull design, these U. S. Built expedition motor yachts are extremely fuel efficient, have a high degree of luxury and are very seaworthy. The current owner purchased the boat in 2005, when she was almost brand new and commissioned (at the boat manufacturer, Northern Marine) a number of enhancements to better prepare her for long range, Pacific cruising. The cost of this refit exceeded $700k.
Then in May 2011 she underwent a partial refit at a cost of $350k including in-depth service and maintenance of all systems including all 4 diesel engines, hydraulic systems, bow and stern thrusters, and the crane. The environmental (a/c) system, water makers and the grey and black water pumps were all replaced. The computer network and the high speed satellite system were upgraded to the latest technology.

Cummins QSK-19 660 HP diesel with 4,373 hours. ZF electronic controls. 27 KW Onan generator with PTO for Bow and Stern thrusters and hydrostatic drive for "get home" capability at 6 knots. 11,063 hours. 21 KW Onan with 8,078 9 KW Onan 5607 Hours Trac Bow and Stern thrusters Trac digital Zero Speed stabilizers Tank tender fuel tank monitoring Reversing variable speed blowers (2) 5 ton Aqua Air Marine chillers RDX fuel polishing system (AlgaeX with SEPAR filtration system). Engine room: The engine room is very well organised. The ease of access, ample spare parts and an array of tools make this a joy to work in. If the looks of LORA make a promise of serious passage making, that promise is kept most visibly in the sophisticated and sea manlike engine room. Power is provided by a single 660hp Cummins QSK engine turning just 1800 rpm. For those concerned about single engine cruising, Lora has more than ample backups. There are three Onan generators with hydraulic power take-offs: a 21kw for normal use, a 9kW for night operation and a 27kW for the hydraulic systems. Lora is designed to run comfortable at 6 knots by bringing a hydraulic motor on line with a chain drive to the prop shaft.

Accommodation
MASTER STATEROOM:
The Master Stateroom fills the area beneath the main deck from the pilothouse to the anchor locker. A centreline king berth faces forward beneath a Craftsman-style mirrored headboard with fluted columns and granite nightstands, and an overhead treatment with makore rope accents gives the effect of a canopy above the bed. Even when tucked in for the night on a long passage, the owner remains informed since the starboard nightstand conceals a Brookes and Gatehouse instrument repeater panel. A flat screen 42' LCD 3D TV (2011) at the foot of the bed is linked to the security cameras.

Forward of the Master Stateroom is the en-suite head. A large, glass enclosed shower on the center line, separates the his and hers vanity/sink areas. Forward from the shower is the head area with toilet to starboard and a bidet to port.

GUEST ACCOMMODATIONS:
From the main deck level on the starboard side is the staircase leading to the guest cabins. The number 1 VIP cabin to port has a walk-around queen berth with en-suite head with stall shower. Forward of this stateroom, through a water tight door is the "tank room" which houses the larger fuel and water tanks. This area also boasts a tremendous amount of additional storage.
The number 2 VIP cabin has a large double berth and is also fitted with a bunk style single berth for additional guests or children. The single berth for this accommodation is generally stored in the forward tank room when not in use.
Across the companion way is a large head with stall shower.
Next aft and to port is the crew stateroom with upper and lower single berths. To starboard is the laundry center with upper and lower Bosch washer and dryer along with cabinet storage and stainless sink.
Galley
Located forward of the salon and dining area, (amidships) is the well equipped full galley. Opposite the galley to starboard is a large pantry area with abundant storage for extended cruising.
