Description: Bavaria Open 40
BRAND NEW BAVARIA OPEN 40 OWNERS VERSION AVAILABLE NOW.

The Bavaria Open 40 represents the very latest in innovative design and creative flair from renown multihull designer Marc Lombard. Quite simply, the Open 40 represents the most living space you can have in a 40’ cat. The large open cockpit with the full enclosure is perfect for entertaining and represents the largest area in its class. There is no step between the saloon and the cockpit, allowing easing access and flow – through feel that is perfect for our Australian climate.

Internally, the saloon lounge and U shaped galley provide a modern living environment that utilises the available space exceptionally well to cater for those wanting to spend extended periods of time at sea.

Featuring a 3 bedroom owners version layout, complete with 2 bathrooms offering separate showers, the Open 40 boasts superior natural lighting, high quality finish and truly useful storages.

Where the Bavaria Open 40 really shines is in her performance. No effort has been spared to create a vessel using as much weight saving construction techniques as possible, without compromising strength or quality of build. All bulkheads and internal furniture items are constructed with a foam core, while the very latest in weight saving techniques are incorporated throughout the entire build by a factory dedicated to producing a high quality fibreglass product at the forefront of industry expectations. The result is that the Open 40 is an absolute joy to sail. Positioning the helms on each hull allows better utilisation of space within the cockpit. Direct cable steering provides instant response to the skipper’s every feel and makes berthing within the marina that much easier. Furthermore, the outboard position allows constant visibility of the sails to leave you with a feeling of total control and that you are not just a passenger along for the ride.

The Bavaria Open 40 will appeal to those from a monohull background who are looking for the extra volume that only a well designed catamaran can offer. And the Bavaria Open 40 will also appeal to those that have owned production built sailing catamarans before but desire better performance, safe in the knowledge that a fast cat is a safe cat.
