Description: Catana 471 Bluewater offshore world reknown sailing yacht Encumbrance Check?
Honey's credentials are impressive! First built in 1999 by Catana in Languedoc-Roussillon, Southern France she is the 14th from the mold and a model known as the best performing, light weight and well made of all Catanas. She makes fast, easy passage and, since 2013, has undergone $140,000 worth of refit and improvements. Our hunt for a family cruising yacht pivoted on four criteria; performance, (we wanted speed!), galley up, dagger boards for better upwind performance and loads of room for guests. Honey has been our full time home and comes with comprehensive manuals for every system, full service records and full receipt inventory. Most recently she has been upgraded with big ticket items; All NEW STANDING RIG and serviced carbon fibre mast (May 2016). NEW Circa engineered high grade aluminium rudder stocks and rudder rebuild, NEW over-spec 4kva Generator (2013), New x 8 lead acid house batteries (Feb 2016). Both Volvo Penta D55 Engines were replaced NEW in 2013. NEW 96 square metre Lyttleton Sails Screecher with NEX 5.0 furler. These big ticket improvements complement a host of smaller upgrades; new AIS system to name one. The galley and saloon underwent a full refit (saloon in microsuede) in May 2016. In addition she also comes with full sail locker. Twin helms, good sized Nav station and top quality Andersen winches. Last haulout, cosmetic makeover and antifoul June 1016, New Zealand.

Honey is set up for full time cruising, accommodating four double, two single cabins, two heads, two showers, separate laundry, separate tool and spares storage. The conversion of two heads, one in each hull, into extra storage and laundry makes Honey unique. We have been thrilled with our special find in Honey and can enthusiastically say she is a superb yacht ready for lovers of the sea and travelling!
