Description: Traditional 30
An extra fine example of these brilliant and renowned cruising yachts from the design stables of Peter Cole. The Traditional 30 is the perfect lake/bay and coastal cruiser. Featuring a large comfortable cockpit with wheel steering and wide uncluttered side and foredecks, there is plenty of room to move. She has a wide stern and, in Grace's case a custom lengthened boarding ladder for climbing aboard after a refreshing swim. Below decks a quarter berth is to starboard with a cockpit length storage area to port, accessible from both the cockpit and the galley. The saloon has two large comfortable curved settees with storage under. Forward is the head to port and vanity to starboard. Both areas have storage cabinets. Forward of the heads is the vee berth which has a large opening hatch overhead and massive storage under. Having a surprising turn of speed for her size, she is a joy to sail. Her experienced owners undertook a bow to stern refurbishment after her purchase. Structurally, her hull/deck joint was completely separated and re-bonded with structural epoxy. Her structural timber components were examined and all six chainplate knees were replaced and re-glassed into position. She was hauled out and her hull was carefully sandblasted back to gelcoat, repaired and three coats of epoxy primer applied before being antifouled and put back into the water. The motor was recently replaced with a fully reconditioned Drofin 15 hp diesel, along with new engine bearers, engine mounts, coupling and shaft seals. Her inventory includes 65 lt fridge/freezer, 100 watt solar panel, battery monitoring system, marine stereo, transom shower sounder and log. Sail wardrobe consists of mainsail with boom-bag, 3 headsails and spinnaker. Genoa is on a Furlex furler. The fuel tank has been removed, inspected, cleaned and replaced with new fuel lines. The water bladders have also been removed, inspected, cleaned and replaced with new potable water hoses. All winches have been disassembled and serviced. Below decks she has bright varnishwork and attractive blue upholstery, with near new marine carpet. Lights are all LEDs, and she has a new galley with S/S sink, pressure water and salt water rinse pump. All structural work was overseen by Master boatbuilder James Frecheville. She is a lovely, complete package. It is time for her owners to write the next chapter in their sailing odyssey so Grace is for sale.
Update 5/11/15 "Grace" just slipped, anti-fouled, polished.
