For Sale: Half Share in a 1995 Thomascraft 43 Flybridge Cruiser

Bought as a family boat just over a year ago, we have decided to look for a like minded boatie(s) to join us as a co-owner(s) and take a either a half or third share in this awesome WA built family boat. It is kept at Fremantle Sailing club in a long term leased pen and comes with an Authorised User Permit for three moorings at Rottnest (including one at Thomson Bay).

The Thomascraft 43 is a popular and highly regarded West Australian built flybridge cruiser, known for its solid construction and offshore capability. With multiple spacious areas including the flybridge, saloon, cockpit, foredeck and large moulded swim platform, this boat has plenty of space for entertaining family, and all the new friends you'll have.

The single 3196 Caterpillar 660 HP is well regarded as one of the best marine motors going and the full keel protects the propeller and rudder from damage touching the seabed or running a cray rope. The powerful bow thruster makes it easy to manoeuvre in and out of pens, jetties and through crowded bays.
The engine has been regularly serviced and is very reliable starting first time every time and cruising at 18 knots with a top speed of 23 knots. The fuel economy is good for a boat of this size using about 20 l/hr at 10 knots, 65 l/hr at 15 knots and 115 l/hr at full noise. It has 2 steel fuel tanks holding 1300 litres.
The motor was last serviced in July 25 and other works in 2025 include a new impellor, new shaft seal/bearing, genset service (Onan 6.5kva) and aftercooler refurb. She was lifted in Sep25 and the antifouled, prop speed on the shaft and prop, and anodes replaced.

With a wide 4.5 metre beam and clever interior fit out, the saloon space is very spacious with a u-shaped dinette, an expandable teak dining table and lots of seating. The fully equipped galley has a full-sized fridge/freezer, coffee machine and electric cooktop making entertaining large groups in the saloon easy. The trifold doors create a seamless flow between the saloon and the cockpit with a marine grade BBQ mounted on the stern gunwhale and a large ice box for the drinks. With a full-length shade cover and new side curtains, the cockpit has full protection from the sun and wind when needed.

There are beds to sleep six comfortably in two cabins, with a double side cabin and four full length bunks in the front cabin, both serviced by a bathroom with a full sized shower and toilet.

Cruising and trips away are made easy with trim tabs, Onan 6.5kva generator, three water tanks holding 1800 litres, a Garmin GPS, autopilot, inverter, sounder, and much more.

Trafalgar is a tidy boat and well worth an inspection.
