Description: Harriscraft 45 Flybridge Charter Vessel & Business Encumbrance Check?
Are you ready for a lifestyle and sea change? This is a rare opportunity to purchase an established and highly successful lifestyle tourism business, operating in one of the most spectacular coastal regions of South Australia, with the potential sale of Reef Encounters Fishing Charters and Marion Bay Ocean Safari.

On offer through Expressions of Interest this profitable, multi award winning and tourism accredited business provides a unique chance to purchase a business with an excellent reputation, long-proven track record and high profit margin.

Reef Encounters Fishing Charters, established in 1998, operates out of the stunning Pondalowie Bay & Marion Bay on the lower Yorke Peninsula and includes offshore deep-sea fishing charters from full day charters, long range charters to live aboard charters.

In January 2020, the business expanded offering short coastal and island cruises under the banner of Marion Bay Ocean Safari.

This business genuinely captures the needs of a wide and diverse market by also offering additional marine charter services such as wildlife monitoring services, island infrastructure surveys, local island transfers and ocean monitoring equipment deployments.

Reef Encounters Fishing Charters access some of the best offshore fishing locations in South Australia with destinations that may include Wedge Island, Althorpe Island, Kangaroo Island (Western end) and the distant offshore Neptune Islands.

Primarily operating out of the stunning Pondalowie Bay in Innes National Park there is the option to operate from Marion Bay depending on the conditions with own moorings available at each location.

Marion Bay is surrounded by beaches that offer great fishing from boats, jetty and shore alike and is the gateway to Innes National Park which is rich in history and is widely regarded for its spectacular coastline. Pondalowie Bay is located in Innes National Park and is a stunning location no matter what the weather, Pondalowie Bay is also home to a Southern Rock Lobster fishing fleet. Setting your own recreational cray pots after work is not a bad way to end a day and Mark having fished the area for over twenty years can provide some great advice!

Significant forward bookings are in place and the business is experiencing a high volume of enquiries, this is likely to continue in light of the increased travel within South Australia.

The business is only on the market due to the fact the owner is now looking to retire. "For more than 20 years we have been fortunate enough to have had so many amazing experiences and memories with Reef Encounters Fishing Charters. The decision to sell a well-established and profitable lifestyle business has not been an easy decision to make, however, we are in a position to retire and want to take the time to further explore this remarkable country. We have had an incredible time over the last two decades and have met some wonderful and interesting people along the way while making some lifelong friends. "

The long-range charter vessel "Vixen" is a 45-foot Harriscraft with a custom fit-out, flybridge, enclosed toilet, galley with ample shade and seating. Current survey (2C/3C) allows up to 12 passengers for day operations and 7 berthed passengers for overnight live aboard operations.

Accommodation is available with clients most commonly booking the night before and after the charters. Two fully furnished houses located in the Marion Bay township that are used as the charter accommodation can be negotiated for sale or long-term rental as part of the sale process. The properties are also used as holiday rentals when no charters are booked providing another stream of income.

The business will ideally suit an owner operator couple seeking a lifestyle and sea change or an investor looking to appoint a manager. Minimum crewing qualifications are required for operation of the vessel.

A hand over period can be negotiated to ensure a smooth transition period.

The business is being sold as a going concern and is continuing to operate to the same high standard and if the right buyer is not found will continue to operate.

Adapt to your own lifestyle with current operator only working 9 months of the year taking the winter months of July, August and September off at own discretion.

Live where other people holiday!
