FISHING VESSEL - NGA WAKA  

Over the last few years the "NGA WAKA" has operated as a gill net fishing vessel.
Following a propulsion system failure on 07 February 2022 the vessel has been stored on hardstand. The damage on the propulsion system includes and is not limited to failure of propeller shaft, two (2) intermediate propellers, stud propeller shaft, gearbox, Cooper bearings, stern tube, stern seal and propeller shaft bearing.

"NGA WAKA" was issued with an AMSA certificate of survey in July 2020 which is valid 07 February 2025 subject to periodic and out of water surveys as per the AMSA schedule. Note that the repairs on the propulsion system are to be carried out to the satisfaction of an accredited AMSA surveyor prior to returning the vessel to commercial operations.
