A lot of time, thought, hard work and money have gone into this vessel.
Due to partnership breakdown and other work commitments, I am unable to finish this build.
The vessel is located near Port Macquarie NSW.
Each hull has 7 water tight bulkhead (live wells, storage, grey water, fresh water and sulage tanks.
Keel laid up very strong - 14mm solid glass.
Have most parts to finish build, including 13 large marine windows in good condition.
All morse cables, hydraulic helms x2.
This vessel would appeal to anyone thinking of building a houseboat, as most of the hard work has been completed (sanding itchy stuff).
Top sides need to be built.
Vessel very close to finished at deck level.
As a tradesman shipwright of 32 years, I estimate around $15K to finish if work completed by new owner. But could vary quite a lot if paying company to finish.
The vessel can be easily moved at this stage. Originally planned to put on the Murray River (this reflects the ease of transport).
Hulls and deck panels, braces, unbolt, 4 deck panels sit on tray, hull sit on deck panels - requiring 1 semi to move. Could be transported interstate at this stage.
Once vessel is on site - A level hard stand or slipway cradle to bolt, sika and fibreglass panels, braces, hulls together. Makes for a very strong design.
The vessel will no longer be transportable once joined, due to it's size (floating tennis court). Will be able to be craned no worries.
Was going to build top sides, frames out out of house framing pine, 3x1 ½ (no white ants on boat). Could even get frame from framing company, very quiuck, light and clad with glass flat sheet, glass to deck?
Originally planned for large open plan living area with compression posts in living area to support roof. Large verandas forward and aft, 1 bedroom, large bathroom, separate head, utility room for laundry and workshop. Even built ice fishing hole in saloon deck for inside fishing when weather bad.
Will need crane both ends of transport. Crane easily organised this end.
