"Kirribilli" was launched in 1967 and for the first 20 years she was the Halvorsen family's private boat. Oozing history and with a visitor book to attest to the pedigree of the boat, she is being offered for sale for the third time in 53 years. Not many people can say their boat has hosted the likes of Alan Shepard ( one of the few men who walked on the moon), or Queen Sonia of Norway to name just a few. Arguably the best looking and most original 40 ft Viking cruiser made, she has had many tens of thousands of dollars spent on her upkeep in recent years. The hull was recently taken back to bare timber and a superb 2 pack paint was professionally applied. Anything that needed replacing was replaced, with the work carried out at cottage point boatshed. New cockpit covers, soft furnishings and carpet have spruced her up inside. The engines and transmission have just had a major service and new props fitted. The list of work is extensive and can all be viewed in the large receipt file with photos of all work done. Inspection on Pittwater at Sydney's northern beaches. A comprehensive survey conducted in september 2018 is also available for viewing by prospective new custodians. The boat has just been antifouled and is ready to go. ( october 2020 ) I have had several dreamers and time wasters look at the boat, so if that sounds like you, please don't even bother with a phone call. If you are a serious buyer who has the money available, please call me on 0410489990 or (02) 94999669.
