"Mayflower" - 26' (8m) - fishing boat with sail and diesel power - carvel timber hull construction - built in 1954 by 'Langley' - originally LFBF-11 - (not installed are spars and masts, but are included - and sails).
Purchased on 28 July 2017 as a dilapidated craft with sail (gaf-rig) and diesel power, and rebuilt as similar to the original and after 528 man/hours (not costed) and spend of $39,000 (plus), was re-launched with diesel power only
The rebuild was after stripping all superstructure including deck and deck beams and after attending to minor hull repair and rebuilding with all new products - timber (dry jarrah and dry red meranti, marine plywood), stainless steel fixings, epoxy resin (glue), new toilet and all fixings and fittings. All safety gear was new including a 12' Raymarine plotter, hydraulic steering, and security system (has own modem and cameras with online images and alerts), solar panels, EPIRB, Life Jackets, tools.
Power is by a "Watermotor Sea-Panther" diesel motor that was marinized in London and completely reconditioned prior to relaunching.
There are covers over the cabin windows and cockpit, and all may be unzipped and rolled away or they may be removed. There is a full length table with 2 X upholstered bench seats that have reversable backs.
The boat is structurally very sound although some further maintenance is due.
Mayflower would be ideal for a practical person who would is interested in looking after her.
She can be inspected in Mandurah.
