It's with a heavy heart that I'm putting my first boat up for sale but the time is here to upsize.
I've owned this Mariner 31 for just over 12 months now and it has given me so many fantastic memories from Aussie Day to Harbour trips and simple beers in the marina. She's a classic family cruiser and they hold their value super well! The designer of Mariners went on to design Rivieras and currently, Maritimos.
Stepping aboard and entering the cockpit there are teak carpets to keep her soft underfoot and a 3/4 awning to keep the sun off the cockpit, ample room to set a table and a couple of chairs or to cast a rod and relax with a few beers. In the saloon, the port side has been fitted with a new convertible lounge, doubling as a second double bed. Opposing this is a TV and entertainment unit, this is linked up to a standard antenna for all your favourite sports and to keep the kids entertained.
Forward of this, the downstairs helm has been removed, however, the throttles still work and would only need a wheel linked back up to make a basic but functional helm station. Under the saloon floors are the twin Mercruisers and heaps and heaps of storage space, for additional water, tools, supplies and spares.
The galley is located down two steps but still feels very much a part of the saloon area, appointed with a gas stove, stainless steel sink and mixer tap and of course a 12/240v fridge for keeping the beers cold! The head is located to starboard and has full headroom for a 6ft tall person, shower sink and electric TMC toilet. Finally, the vee-berth is in the forepeak with another TV, storage shelves and cupboard, mirrors and 12v remote controlled lights.
Up top, you have the flybridge, a great location for up to 7 people to enjoy whilst cruising underway. There's a Raymarine Dragonfly 5 GPS and all the clears are brand new!
Over the past 12 months, I have done an extensive amount of work to her to bring her up to the standard she is today, see below:
2017 New N200 batteries x 2
New dual battery charger
New starter batteries x 2
New Fuel Pumps and filters
Reconditioned Port starter motor
Dry Joint Manifolds and Risers both sides
All freshwater side cooling hoses replaced
Starboard Heads Reconditioned
New dizzy cap starboard side
New flame arrestors
Freshly installed 2nd hand long block
New intake manifold
New clears for flybridge
New hatch cover
As you can see she has been well looked after and will suit a couple or small family looking to cruise around in comfort.
She comes with: a small tender with a 3.3hp Mercury outboard, a Honda generator, tonnes and tonnes of storage space, hot and cold shower, electric toilet, 2 x TVs, dragonfly GPS/Sounder and teak carpets for the cockpit and flybridge.
Happy to teach any buyer how to drive her and any basic boating skills for a few hours.
I can make myself available pretty much 24/7 for an inspection.
