Description: Adams 40CC Encumbrance Check?
40ft Adams centre-cockpit, round-bilge, steel cruising yacht, 12.2m x 3.6m beam x 1.8m draft. Australian Registered. A serious and capable offshore cruising yacht, that is well equipped and set up to be easily managed by 2 people.
The mainsail, genoa and staysail are all operated from within the cockpit, including reefing of the mainsail, contributing to crew safety by alleviating the need to go on deck for most sail handling tasks. An added safety feature is the fully-welded stainless-steel hand-railing installed right around the deck. Gates are located on each side of the cockpit, with another to gain access to the hinged swim-platform on the transom. Integral with the hand railing is a combined dinghy davits and solar tower structure on the after deck.
Upgrades and regular maintenance have ensured the reliability of equipment and systems to keep the boat in a safe and seaworthy condition as well as regular haul-outs for antifouling and associated maintenance. The last haul-out was in November 2020, when antifouling and regular maintenance was carried out.
