Cole 23 Built by NorthShore Yatches (Private Sale)
This beautiful old lady has only had two owners. I bought her in 1997 and have loved her ever since. The previous owner had her configured for racing but I have always used her for family cruising. She has spent most of her life in Gulf St. Vincent and the Goolwa lakes areas. When my kids were growing up she accommodated two adults and three kids. She has a hydraulic swing keel with a draft of about 30cms so is ideal for shallow waterways or pulling up onto a beach. As much as possible she was configured for solo cruising so she comes with a Furlex self-furler and Raymarine ST1200+ tiller auto-pilot.
As a cruising boat the saloon table has been the host to as much fun as you can poke a stick at. She's seen riotous kids (and adult) party games as well as the odd glass of wine and Scotch. In the old days there was a waterproof tape player but these days an iPhone and a UEBoom do just as well (not included :-)) She's a pretty good host if one is just looking for a little bit of solitude as well.
She's seen some funny times - a week without a cork screw, as well as a bucket of water being thrown over the side. The said bucket contained all of the soaking cutlery :-)
Unfortunately, in recent years she hasn't been used much. This is because of my increasing age and the decline in my fitness. When not being used she has always been kept on her trailer so her derriere is as beautiful as the day I brought her. Recently I have given her a bit of a refresh so she has brand new rigging and halyards Etc. (never used). Her outboard motor has electric start but has probably got no more than a couple of hours run-time.
She needs a few things such as a new battery and a new radio antenna (disintegrated with UV).
She's being priced for a quick sale. She reminds me a bit of Jane Fonda - looks very good for her age...
