1989, built by Excel Fibreglass, Cannington W. A. Light displacement, round bilge, fin keel, Skeg hung rudder, mast head rig. Current owner for the past 10 years. Hasn't been raced during this time. Located in Batavia Marina, Geraldton. Sailed to the Abrolhos islands 3/4 times a year, Dongara & locally. This yacht has been meticulously looked after by the current owner. It's practically been refitted inside & out. Last out of water survey January 2020. All stainless steel standing rigging replaced May 2020. Hauled out biannually for anti fouling ( International micron AP ) & routine maintenance.
6 berth. Forward v berth ( double ). Saloon table drops to make a double berth. Starboard single berth. Large single quarter/pilot berth at rear. All berths over 6' ft long. Mostly new running rigging. Most sea cocks replaced. Complete hull repaint. Completely repainted/ varnished inside. All steering cables/chain replaced, quadrant stripped serviced/ pained. Prop shaft removed, new cutless bearing & stern gland fitted. Most domestic plumbing replaced. All wiring tidied up & clipped to bulkheads. Engine & domestic batteries replaced. Ali fuel tank removed steam cleaned & all fuel pipes/filters replaced.
Volvo 2002 18hp diesel motor. Just had major service January 2022. New fuel lift pump fitted, injectors serviced, fuel pumps serviced, engine tuned, by authorised Volvo mechanic. 4 x rubber engine mounts replaced. New bow roller fitted. New anchor fitted ( 2x spares ). New anchor chain 10mm galv. 22 m. New anchor rope. New Perspex/ polycarbonate to both hatches & wash board. New Bimini fitted. New main sail/boom cover. New boom tent. New cockpit table made. New 'daybed' made for cockpit, great for long passages, (Abrolhos islands, crew can lay down/sleep). Cushions for 'daybed'.
Galley & chart table surfaces new laminate fitted. New Maxie 2 burner, stainless steel Metho stove. ( no gas onboard). Galley & head water pumps serviced. Toilet has been regularly serviced with new seal kits fitted. Pipes replaced & seat repainted in white epoxy.
2 spinnaker poles, one set up as emergency rudder. (Poles used in mast lowering operation). Emergency tiller. Outboard motor bracket. 5hp Suzuki outboard by negotiation. Swim ladder.
Raytheon RC425 chart plotter fitted on steering binnical. Navman Fish 4430 echo sounder. GME558A VHF radio, New VHF aerial fitted at top of mast. New nav/anchor light fitted at top of mast. New deck light fitted to mast. Mast lowering pulley system gear.
SAILS. MAIN. 3x head sails, no. 2 no. 3 (x2), storm jib all in good condition. 2x spinnakers ( not used in last 10 years).
All safety gear. EPIRB, life jackets, flares, fire extinguishers, fire blanket, first add kit etc. All in date.
All receipts available. Any inspection welcome.
When I was looking to buy a yacht in this price range 10 years ago this one stood out head & shoulders above all others viewed. Most I would have opened the sea cocks & sunk. Since purchasing the yacht I have carried out al the above work & I imagine it would be one of the best valued yachts on the market. It is very well sorted, trustworthy & safe.
