Description: Cole 43
'Solo Globe Challenger' is the famous boat owned by legend single handed around the world sailor, Tony Mowbray.
Renowned Australian yacht designer, Peter Cole drew the beautiful lines of the revered Cole 43 in 1969. A number of Mark I versions were built and launched in the early 1970's and were raced with 8 crew in many bluewater races including the Sydney to Hobart, with great success.
In the early to mid 1980's a number of Mark II versions were launched including Solo Globe Challenger.
This boat has circumnavigated the world single handed by Tony. It was then used in the Mediterranean by a couple for cruising. Tony's love for this boat saw him buy her back and cruised in her himself with a bit more comfort than before and again sailed her back home to Lake Macquarie where she has been used as his racing cruiser. This boat is sturdy, fast and comfortable. A Blue water battleship. The rigging was designed by Tony to be as "tough as you get".

This boat and her fit out presents a great opportunity for anyone interested in short handed sailing, Solo Globe Challenge, Sydney to Hobart double handed or ones own adventure in a capable vessel!

If you think you want to adventure into the blue you won't get a better, safer boat, she'll take you anywhere in the world.
