Comfortable, solid and safe vessel to explore our shores and waterways.
Share the dream of sailing. Reverie is a well maintained and loved small family cruising yacht ready to set sail. Compass 29 yachts have a long keel and keel mounted rudder which makes them a steady and stable boat even in rough conditions.
Reverie has a binnacle mounted wheel, with compass. Instruments include VHF radio, wind, depth, water speed and water temperature gauges, and inside a ships clock and barometer. Her Beta 13 hp diesel engine has been regularly serviced.
Inside the space is light and comfortable with views on both sides. There is a galley with a 2 burner metho stove and sink. The 4 seater dinette converts to a double bed. The pilot bunk also adds additional seating. The dinette table has a chart drawer and doubles as a chart table. A door separates the head (toilet), which also has an opening port. Internal upholstery has been replaced in recent times.
The cockpit suits adults and children alike, with benches on either side. A solid bimini can extend to the boom when required to provide shade as well as long boom tent for greater shelter. Stow ports behind the benches are a valuable feature that doesn't exist on many sail boats. The stern gate and lowerable platform and steps allow easy access in and out of the water.
Reverie has been with the current owner for over 10 years. The vessel has been well maintained. The hull maintenance program has been overseen by Itchy and Scratchy of Woolwich Dock, the home of Wild Oates. Extra gauge standing rigging installed by Joe Walsh in December 2009 with a new furler for the genoa. A full hull restoration was conducted in 2016. A new propeller and prop shaft were installed in 2015 with a pack-less stern seal.
A new main sail and genoa were custom made by Graeme Herrick, Sydney, along with new sail cover and lazy-jacks in 2016. There is an asymmetric spinnaker. There are solar panels which maintain battery charge. Two x 100 AH batteries power engine and house.
Familiarisation sails are available for the new owner.
