"Diana" is a beautiful couta style lakes fishing boat. She is a wooden classic with laid timber decks, powered by a Yanmar 2QM20 diesel, lug rigged with main and headsail. She is a delight to either sail or motor the local waterways.
Believed to have been built by well-known local boat builder, William Bott, prior to World War 1, she was re-built in the mid 1970's by the renowned local fishing boat builder Ced Reynolds. Then in the mid 90's she was purchased by Paynesville local Dave Evans, who gave her a major makeover, including the laid timber decking and a new lug rig. A re-conditioned Yanmar was fitted in 2008. Dimensions are 24' at waterline, 32' overall, 8'9" beam and 2'2" draft.
She had a big make-over last summer and looks a treat with a new paint job in the classic Norglass Pearl colour, as well as being anti-fouled. Diana is ready and waiting for her next adventure on the Gippsland Lakes or exploring a new waterway.
