"Nellie" was launched in 2007 after a painstaking 16 year build by her owner. Originally designed by Bruce Masters, she is robustly constructed in carvel blue gum planking on spotted gum ribs. Powered by a four cylinder Yanmar 60 hp diesel, she will sleep up to five and has a spacious interior with a lovely blackwood fit-out, well lit with a large butterfly hatch. Accom includes galley with Broadwater stove/oven (gas compliant) and electric fridge compartment, enclosed bathroom with shower and electric flush toilet, double vee berth, saloon settees and a quarter berth. Her beautiful rig includes top-sail, stay-sail, jib and flying jib. Quite a sight when all are hoisted. Her laminated oregon mast and rigging were replaced in 2013.
"Nellie" is a classic topsail gaff cutter, built to last and still young.
Just slipped for annuals and insurance report - February 2022.
