Whether you're a weekend cruiser, heading North for the season or a full time liveaboard, Lola is ready to set sail. The Fontaine Pajot Athena 38 is a reliable, blue water production catamaran loaded with enough useable space for family or friends onboard. The current owners were a liveaboard family of four that fitted Lola out to be a comfortable home with plenty of mod cons for their adventures along the East Coast of Australia for two years.
The light filled, galley up layout is fantastic for entertaining and staying involved with everything that is happening. The galley is fitted with a 3 burner stove and 140L fridge/freezer with a weber BBQ aft and a 60L portable fridge/freezer below. Either sit inside around the comfortable saloon, in the outdoor entertaining area or lounge on the trampoline out the front, the lifestyle awaits.
Originally fitted out with four queen sized berths and two bathrooms, Lola currently has one cabin being used as storage space with the other three remaining as sleeping quarters, all including power points for charging devices. One bathroom has transformed into a laundry while the other bathroom has been fitted with a natures head composting toilet. The three cabins are comfortable with plenty of storage, the "main" cabin with memory foam mattres and Froli ventilation/comfort system installed. The two forward cabins also feature an addiional space that can be used for storage or more berths.
The sailing rig is a simple, yet effective 50sqm main sail with lazyjacks and a 35sqm furling genoa that can be sailed single handed with good visibiilty from the helm position for the journey. For those times when the wind isn't in your favour Lola is powered by two reliable and economic Yanmar 30hp diesel engines, installed in 2014. The engines have been well looked after and serviced.
990W of solar panels have been installed on the rear, charging a 540Ah Lithium Iron Phosphate battery system. With this kind of power, you'll feel like you're plugged into the dock anywhere you go. Extended time away from the marina is ensured with Lola's Seawater Pro watermaker installed in 2020 that can produce fresh drinking water at a rate of 60L/h without the use of a generator.
A new Jomo poly tender and 6hp Tohatsu outboard were purchased in January 2021 for reliable trips ashore with plenty of room for the groceries and guests.
Presenting fantastic value for money for a catamaran that is ready to sail, you won't be disappointed when stepping aboard Lola. Contact Matt on 0431547324 to arange an inspection. The adventure awaits!
