2009 Leopard 46 | Roam
Built by Robertson and Caine, Roam is a 2009 Owners' version Leopard 46, a highly sought-after model with a proven blue-water cruising pedigree.
The owner's starboard hull features a double berth with bamboo topper, large wardrobes, additional storage spaces and an office area. The head is comprised of an electric toilet and with large shower and linen closet with plumbing and electrical ready to go for a washing machine.
The port side hull has two cabins with double berths, good storage and each have a separate ensuite comprising, head, basin, shower, and mirrored medicine cabinets.
The saloon has a spacious galley with stovetop, oven and good quality benchtops including an inside/outside servery extension. The large dining table seats up to eight in comfort and can also be configured as a sea-bunk or replaced with the coffee table for extra space.
There is excellent all-round visibility courtesty of expansive windows, and forward-opening hatches provide a cooling breeze at anchor. To starboard is the navigation station.
Outside, the cockpit can be enclosed by set of clears to give all-weather protection. Importantly, most sailing functions are performed from the security of the helm station aided by two electric winches.
Roam handles very easily under sail or power. Hard handrails across to the stern on both hulls make this area very safe. The dinghy stores on substantial davits and, due to this model's exceptionally high deck clearance, the dinghy is well clear of the water so hull slamming is not a problem. There is a gas BBQ plus drop-down swim platform which converts to a long bench while underway.
Set up to be self-sufficient for extensive cruising and onboard living, Roam has a large solar array plus a diesel generator when needed, good refrigeration capacity, great storage spaces and a watermaker. A new fully integrated Raymarine navigation package was installed in 2020.
Roam comes with an extensive set of detailed instructions and manuals and a library of useful books.
