Mahogany cutter rigged ketch in beautiful 'turn key' condition.
Italian built to the highest standards at the renown Merani Mauro Cantiero, shipyard.
Passage making in a well built timber yacht is a very special experience that few get to enjoy. A timber yacht is quiet, comfortable and has a very gentle motion compared to similar vessels made from fibreglass or steel.
The vessels deep draft and relatively narrow beam are especially important for a 'proper' passagemaker and when seas get rough.
Antares is a classic beauty that is irreplaceable in todays market.
Double planked 1 7/8" African Mahogany, Oak frames and Teak decks are the hall marks of a vessel built without compromise.
The long fin keel and skeg hung rudder give the boat a great turn of speed whilst still ensuring that it tracks well and is a pleasure to steer.
Antares carries good volume below the water line which means very little movement below at sea. Easy to cook and comfortable to sleep.
An attribute lost on most modern cruising boats.
Antares presents a rare opportunity to own a 'time less' elegant yacht that is a pleasure to the eyes and to sail, that will take you anywhere your heart desires
