Description: Moody 46 Centre Cockpit - Your Complete Bluewater Cruising Package is here
'Madrigal' launched in 1999, is the ultimate ocean cruising yacht designed to provide her crew with exhilarating sailing in all weathers. A powerful yacht, she is easily managed by just two, and has proven to be a very comfortable passage maker.
Moody Yachts are highly sought after blue water cruising yachts due to their solid construction, and this model is fitted with in-mast furling, a cutter rig with self-tacking stay sail, and is easily controlled from the cockpit. Both headsails can be deployed in most conditions and with electric winches, you can enjoy smooth and powerful sailing on longer passages with minimal effort.
Madrigal is powered by a 75hp Volvo turbo diesel engine with sidepower bow thruster. Additional power systems include upgraded batteries, 6 x solar panels, and a Westerbeke Generator. Spray protection in the cockpit is provided by a stainless steel-framed windscreen, a solid roofed dodger with a blue bimini and zip-in clears.
With the safety of a raised centre cockpit she promises fast passage making and is suited to extended off-shore cruising for up to six people. Below decks the Moody 46 is incredibly roomy and boasts two large staterooms with ensuites, a secure galley, air conditioning and lots more creature comforts to make longer passages and living aboard comfortable and homely.
This Moody 46 (centre cockpit cutter rigged sloop) has been built to exacting standards and is a serious proven bluewater cruiser that allows for safe sailing with comfort and style. With all controls located within the long, centre cockpit, she can be easily sailed by two people. Madrigal's standing and running rigging were replaced in 2015. With the added bonus of air conditioning throughout her interior, the saloon features a large C-shaped settee to port and separate settee to stbd. The beautiful dining table offers seating for 8 guests when opened while additional leather stools offer seating for extra guests.
