Description: Prout 45
Designed by David Feltham and built in 1995 by Prout Catamarans on Canvey Island, London. Zarafet is heavily customised as the ultimate liveaboard cruising machine with backups and duplicates for almost everything. She is solid fibreglass under the waterline, cored above the waterline, with Kevlar reinforcement. The original Prout Catamarans are renowned for their safety, load-carrying capabilities, reliability, ease of handling and comfort, and were designed for long-term live-aboard cruising and ocean passages. Major refurbishments - new engines and sail drives 2016, new rigging 2015 and many more upgrades and refits.

Australian Buyer intending to sail across the Medditeranean to the Spanish Canary Islands, across the Atlantic to the Caribbean, through the Panama Canal and across the Pacific should take into account import duty of 5% and GST 10% of the value of the Catamaran in Australia at the time of entry to Australia.

Remarks
Owners' Comments
We purchased Zarafet in 2010 as second owners and our plans were to sail her back to Australia. We have completed many upgrades to get her ready for the trip. Due to circumstances our plans to bring her home to Australia changed. So much to see in the Med we decided to sail around the Mediterranean instead.
We sailed Black Sea, Italy, Malta, Sicily, Albania, Tunisia, Greece and Turkey

Original owners of Zarafet sailed for 14 years, visiting 84 countries and hundreds of islands. She is designed to be easily handled by one person. Zarafet carried them safely and comfortably around the world, logging 60,633 nautical miles.
