Description: Prout 46 "Uluwatu"
Designed for luxurious living and superbly comfortable cruising. Extensive inventory includes huge solar panel array, wind generator, diesel heating in each hull, full electronics and much more. All halyards led to an electric winch at the base of the mast adjacent to the helm, allowing for singe-handed sailing from within the huge, fully enclosed cockpit.

Prout catamarans are designed with offshore cruising in mind and their hulls are built to the highest structural standards. Safety features include watertight bulkheads, torsion-control bulheads to combat twist and balanced, skeg-hung rudders. Prout catamarans have an enviable record for ocean passagemaking.

"Uluwatu" has been very well maintained by her knowledgeable owner and sailed (often single-handed) extensively in Tasmanian waters.

Remarks
"Uluwatu" is a development of the Prout 46 and was previously branded the Broadblue Prestige 46. Hull and deck are both one-piece mouldings in hand laid glass fibre, using powder-bound mat, biaxial woven rovings, isopthalic resin, and Kevlar reinforcement in high load areas. Below the waterline, the hulls are solid laminate, while the topsides and deck incorporate an end grain balsa core. The hull and deck join is fully bonded and protected by a substantial rubbing strake. Keels are integrally moulded and sealed off from the hulls forming a double bottom. The bows and sterns, forward of the rudder shafts, are fitted with water tight buoyancy chambers. These are fitted with substantial water tight inspection hatches.
