This is a professionally built Van De Stadt designed 30' footer, having been launched in Bournemouth UK in 1963, she raced in 3 Fastnet races and (no less than) 5 Atlantic crossings before sailing to Australia in 1981.
In 1995 she was purchased by a real enthusiast and put on the hard stand at Cabbage Tree Creek Marina in Brisbane where she underwent a total rebuild taking some 11 years. The rebuild entailed stripping and refairing both the interior and exterior, an new interior fitout whilst the hull and decks were reprayed, presenting in an 'as new' condition. She was eventually re launched, virtually as a new yacht in 2006.
'Ça Va' (It Goes) has seen two dedicated owners since. The yacht was sailed single handed from Brisbane to Tasmania where she has been cruised extensively before being sold. Her current owner, who lives aboard, lavishes the care and attention she deserves - as exampled by the photographs displayed in this advertisement.
If you are looking for something special, with the unique Van De Stadt heritage, come and see this yacht for yourself. We are sure you will agree with us that opportunities to purchase a 'real yacht' don't come around very often.
