The new Elan Impression 354 is designed for families who are discovering the magic of sailing, says the literature released at her launch in Europe. "The 354 is a safe and forgiving yacht which allows newcomers and experienced cruisers to enjoy their voyage in comfort" according to Elan.
She shares many of the features that have made the bigger yachts in the Impression range strong sellers on the international market, including the raised deck saloon, filled with natural light, which Elan says makes her the most spacious yacht in her class.
With the optional three cabin interior layout she can accommodate up to nine people with the help of her innovative flip-up chart table and the full length saloon seating.
Her open cockpit features twin wheels, giving quick access from the swim platform to the companionway. The platform comes in two sizes with the larger platform closing the cockpit fully during sailing.
Australian agent for Elan, Matt Hayes of US Yachts, says the Elan range has been a very strong seller in the Southern Hemisphere and he is confident the 354 will be well received.
