This Syndicate has been successfully owning and operating a yacht on the Gippsland Lakes for over 20 years. First Light is a Catalina 320 -launched in 1999. It is berthed in a pen on a jetty in Newlands Arm. The yacht has a full set of sails (fully battened main, two jibs, genoa and spinnaker), and is powered by a Yanmar 3GM30F 27HP diesel motor.
The yacht has two double berths (one forward V-berth and a transverse rear cabin) along with two single berths in the main cabin. It has a well-equipped galley and a bathroom with a head and shower. It has a hot-water system and large refrigerator. There is a 160-watt solar-cell capacity.
