New from the Hanse Yard, the Hanse 315 is a neat little 31ft/9.62m yacht. The sleek and sporty lines from the design team at Judel/Vrolijk will appeal to savvy Australian and Kiwi sailors.
A deep L-shaped 1.85m keel, plumb bow and waterline length of 8.7m mean that the dynamic lines will translate into liveliness on the water. A shallow keel of 1.37m is also available.
The boat comes standard with a modern shaped tiller and cockpit floor traveller. This layout is ideal for short-handed sailing and easily allows optimal trim of the powerful mainsail.
Twin wheel steering is an option – something not seen in 31ft even two years ago. Buyers looking for a more relaxed style of sailing can choose the cockpit traveller and folding table. All lines can be lead aft and the Hanse original self-tacking headsail ensures easy sailing on board this comfortable entertainer.
The stern can be completely closed off with a bathing platform delivering safety at sea and an extra play area at anchor. The 315 is the first in its class to receive CE Category A.
Peter Hrones – Managing Director of the Windcraft Group - at the Hanse factory last month was very impressed with the 315 “ very slick - a cool looking boat”
The versatility of the 315 continues below decks. The design team have met the challenge of offering choice on a small boat, with innovation. Buyers can choose from an open bulkhead forward with large double berth or a closed bulkhead, small seat and variable double berth. Astern the large double cabin runs crosswise.
The interior is light and airy with impressive headroom of 1.91m in the companionway and 1.77m in the bow. The standing height in the functional areas like the galley and storage area is achieved via a lowered floor. This means that the exterior structure remains flat, elegant and distinctively Hanse.
