TMG Yachts will unveil the Southern Hemisphere premiere of the all-new Lagoon 38 at the 2026 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, introducing the next generation of compact cruising catamarans to Australian sailors.
As the latest addition to Lagoon Catamarans’ renowned sailing range, the Lagoon 38 builds on the legacy of the iconic Lagoon 380, one of the best-selling catamarans in the world, and the modern Lagoon 40. The new model carries that heritage forward while delivering refined living spaces, improved sailing performance, and thoughtful design updates tailored for modern cruising.
Designed as a 38-foot sailing catamaran that prioritises comfort, simplicity, and exploration, the Lagoon 38 offers an ideal platform for everything from family weekends on the water to extended coastal adventures.
“The Lagoon 38 represents the next evolution in compact cruising catamarans,” said a Joe Fox TMG Yachts, Lagoon Manager. “It brings together the space, comfort, and reliability that Lagoon owners love, while introducing new design improvements that make life on board even more enjoyable.”
Inside, the Lagoon 38 offers bright and welcoming living spaces that connect effortlessly with the sea. Large vertical windows and expansive portholes flood the interior with natural light, creating a spacious atmosphere rarely seen in this size category. A forward-positioned galley enhances practicality while maintaining strong connections between the saloon and cockpit.
The owner’s cabin provides a comfortable forward-facing berth with private ensuite and generous storage, while additional guest cabins offer flexible accommodation for families or cruising companions.
Outside, the Lagoon 38 has been designed for seamless indoor-outdoor living. The generous aft cockpit creates an inviting space for dining, entertaining, or relaxing at anchor, while wide transom steps provide safe and easy access to the water. A reimagined forward cockpit offers an additional lounge area, perfect for enjoying ocean views while underway or at anchor.
Sailing performance remains a core focus of the design. Built using Lagoon’s advanced infusion moulding process, the lightweight yet strong hull structure contributes to efficient sailing and reduced fuel consumption under power. With a well-balanced sail plan and generous bridgedeck clearance, the Lagoon 38 delivers a smooth, stable ride and reassuring handling in a wide range of conditions.
The Lagoon 38 also introduces subtle refinements that elevate comfort on board, including a wider saloon and cockpit layout, improved helm ergonomics, and the option of a semi-fly sun lounge, creating an elevated relaxation space above the cockpit.
Visitors to the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show will have the opportunity to step aboard the Lagoon 38 and experience firsthand the thoughtful design and sailing capability that continues to make Lagoon the world’s leading catamaran brand.
The Lagoon 38 is available through TMG Yachts with both Australian and European delivery options, allowing owners to begin their sailing adventures locally or abroad.
