FIRE FIGHTING SYSTEM
PORTABLE EXTINGUISHERS:
Additional fire protection is provided by two 4.0kg ABC dry powder portable fire
extinguishers, located in the forecabin, and four 2.0kg CO2 portable fire
extinguishers, located in the main cabin. A fire blanket in container is provided.

BILGE PUMPING
HAND OPERATED
100-lts/min Damen/Seimi hand operated bilge pumps serve the aft spaces and the
engine compartment. 80-lts/min hand operated bilge pumps are fitted forward.
The suction lines are fitted with non-return valves and bilge strainers at the
suction points.
100-lts/min hand operated bilge pumps are also fitted in the forecabin and
forepeak.

ELECTRICALLY OPERATED
Two 200-lts/min pumps complete with automatic switching are fitted in the
engine compartment. A bilge level sensor is also fitted in the engine compartment
with an alarm at the main control station.
200-ltr/min pumps complete with automatic switching are fitted in the free spaces
under the main cabin sole, the area under the forecabin sole and in the forepeak.
Each bilge pump is controlled from a switch panel at the main control console and
automatic or manual switch operation can be selected. Dedicated indicator lights
illuminate when a pump is in operation.
One way valves are fitted in the discharge hoses to eliminate any possibility of
pump surge.
