Steel semi custom raised pilothouse long range expedition trawler.
The B65 is Bering’s most successful model to date. Three hulls have been launched and many thousands of ocean miles logged in comfort and complete safety.
Striking and distinctive lines combined with Bering’s engineering excellence make it easy to see why this capable world traveller is so successful.
The Bering 65 is a rugged and classic looking steel yacht capable of all ocean crossings. Modeled after North Atlantic commercial trawlers, her heavy full-displacement hull is ideally suited for the rigors of open ocean travel.
The interior floor plan of the 65 includes three spacious staterooms each with their own private en suite head. Family and friends will feel truly pampered as guests aboard your Bering yacht.
Stepping aboard, the saloon features built-in seating on both sides with a large dinette off to starboard. Fine textured leathers or durable Ultraleather® can be chosen in colors of your choosing to match the interior design plan. An entertainment center forward of the settees houses a large flat screen TV surrounded by hand finished teak or other woods of your choosing. Large double opening doors aft can be opened to the cockpit when maximum ventilation is desired or when entertaining large groups. Staircases forward lead to either the lower staterooms or the galley and pilothouse.
The pilothouse is the command center where most of the ship’s controls and displays are housed. This lower helm station is perfect for steering in heavy or otherwise inclement weather conditions. Generous window placement on three sides provides complete forward and adjacent viewing of your surroundings. An L-settee located aft of the helm chair allows the captain to have company while attending to steering duties underway or offers an alternative place to lounge and read if you wish some separation from the saloon.
The full-width galley is just aft of the pilothouse steering room but on the same level. Refrigeration units as well as in-wall oven(s) are located off to the port side along with drawer storage and an optional wine chiller. To the starboard side you have the cooking surface, trash compactor, sink, dishwasher, and dry storage. This space is bright and airy thanks in part to the open bulkhead forward as well as being above the elevation of the saloon.
The master stateroom can be located forward as a v-berth or aft as a midship stateroom. In the latter configuration the master stateroom will be full beam-width, thereby offering such layout features as a writing desk, lounge, makeup station, small library, etc… The guest staterooms allow for complete privacy thanks to their en suite heads. The 65 can has two guest staterooms forward of the master with crew quarters immediately forward of the engine room, or the crew quarters can be designed as a very functional utility room.
Up on deck, her covered flybridge helm station and seating area provide exceptional views both at sea and in close quarters docking situations. With generously sized outboard settees and the option to have any combination of refrigeration, outdoor grilling, stainless sink, etc. you have the ability to entertain guests with ease. The boat deck stairwell leads into the covered cockpit which means you don’t have to move through the interior spaces when you wish to head up to the upper deck after swimming or diving.
The covered aft deck provides additional outdoor living space regardless of the weather conditions, be it intense tropical sun or a rainy day at anchor. A cockpit settee and table is perfect for outdoor dining, visiting or just comfortably lounging. Covered sidedecks and tall bulwarks provide a very secure walkway to the portuguese bridge and foredeck. Large storage lockers inside the portuguese bridge are perfect for storing docklines, hoses and such. Molded-in seating forward puts you out in front with a view second to none!
Access to the swim platform is available through either of the outboard stairwells in the cockpit. The aft platform is located just above waterline to allow for easily embarking and disembarking to your tender or water toys. Throughout the deck spaces you will find intelligent and thoughtful touches such as the numerous mooring cleats, freeing ports to quickly clear the decks of green water, and ergonomic handrails for maximum security.
If you have extended voyages in mind, wish to see the world and do it on your terms, in your time it is hard to match the value proposition that is the Bering 65. For full specifications, options and GA’s contact E S B.
