NEW Selene 49 Explorer Flybridge Motor Yacht

The Selene 49 is the next-generation evolution of the very popular Selene 47. It features the Deep-Hull(TM) design and Cruiser Stern(TM), which improve headroom in the engine room and lazarette while making the hull even more efficient than its predecessor.

The Selene 49 has a very traditional "salty" look from the outside. Another significant difference is the wider flybridge, providing ample space for entertaining friends and family in style in the open air, along with plenty of room on the aft deck for a dinghy and hydraulic crane.

The flybridge layout with a hardtop includes a U-shaped settee and table, as well as a bar with a sink and BBQ. The longer LOA of the Selene 49 translates to a 20 cm increase in the cockpit and an additional 10 cm in the saloon.
The living space is large and spacious for long cruising days.
The saloon can be finished in teak, oak or mahogany. The U-shaped galley forward features Corian countertops and modern appliances, including a full-size refrigerator with a freezer.

The 49' Selene has an option of a 2 or 3 three-stateroom accommodation below is spacious, thanks to the full hull sections forward. The master stateroom has a queen-size island berth with teak and holly steps on both sides, plus two large cedar-lined hanging lockers.

Headroom in the engine room has increased by a full 30 cm over the 47. The Selene 49 is an excellent long-range cruising boat with a D/L ratio at full load of 316 and an A/B ratio at full load of 2.54. At 1,800 rpm, the Selene 49 has a cruising speed of 7.3 knots, offering a range of approximately 1846 nautical miles.

The 49 also boasts an integral swim platform with a telescopic swim ladder. Beneath the 46 cm hull extension Cruiser Stern(TM), there is extra room in the lazarette for storing gear and supplies, as well as greater buoyancy to offset the weight of the larger flybridge.

As the flagship of the smaller Selene models, the Selene 49 offers a level of luxury normally found only on its larger sisters in the range, all in an affordable package that's easy to handle as a couple.
