NEW Sportsman Open 352 Centre Console

The 352 is the boat for the owner who wants the flagship's reach without the flagship's berth. Ten and a half metres, 3.4-metre beam, 23 degrees at the transom and 1,344 litres total fuel capacity (approximately 1,249 litres usable), enough to run wide, stay out, and come home with fuel in reserve. Rated to 1,275 horsepower across twin or triple outboards, it is quick, and the vacuum-infused hull with its full-grid stringer system keeps it composed when the sea gets up.

The console is the surprise. Behind the door is a proper cabin, with over 1.8 metres of headroom, custom wood-grain flooring, air conditioning, a berth that sleeps two adults and a child, an electric porcelain toilet with discharge and a pull-out shower and sink combination. Vertical rod storage is built into the cabin floor. It is a cabin that gets used, not a compartment that stores fenders.

Fishing hardware is comprehensive: twin 114-litre pressurised aquarium livewells with tempered viewing glass, dual macerated in-deck fish boxes at approximately 221 litres each (234 qt each), an 83-litre transom centre cooler and a 62-litre console cooler forward. Sportsman then fold the same boat back into a family platform with an actuated three-position bow sun deck, removable bow backrests, side entry doors and insulated bow boxes that double as coolers.

The helm runs triple captain's chairs on tracks with adjustable bolsters, an Edson 13-inch stainless wheel with power knob, and dual Garmin displays factory-integrated through SportLink with digital switching and JL Audio across a full NMEA 2000 network. The panoramic windscreen adds better than 35 per cent visibility over a framed screen. Seakeeper Ride stabilisation / VACS is standard on the current model, providing underway attitude control. The Open 352 is also Seakeeper-ready from the factory, with a dedicated pod built into the stringer grid for the optional Seakeeper gyro system.
