NEW Dufour 54

The Dufour 54 is the flagship of the Dufour range, combining serious bluewater capability, powerful sailing performance and exceptional living space in a yacht designed for owners who want to travel further without compromising comfort.

Designed by Umberto Felci, with design by Luca Ardizio, the Dufour 54 combines a balanced hull, optimised sail plan and twin helm stations to deliver smooth, controlled sailing and precise feedback at the helm.

At 16.84 metres overall with a beam of 5.25 metres, the Dufour 54 offers the volume and presence expected from a much larger yacht while retaining the sailing character at the heart of Dufour.

Despite its size, the Dufour 54 can be configured specifically for short-handed cruising.

The standard Easy configuration combines an Elvstrøm full-batten Dacron mainsail with a self-tacking jib on furler, single-line reefing led aft to the coachroof, two Harken T50 coachroof winches, lazy bag and lazy jacks.

The self-tacking jib makes everyday manoeuvring considerably easier when sailing with reduced crew, while the cockpit layout keeps the principal sailing controls within easy reach.

For owners wanting maximum mainsail convenience, the Dufour 54 is also available with an optional in-mast furling mainsail system.

Electric Harken winches, B&G autopilot, bow and stern thrusters and windlass controls with chain counter can further reduce the physical effort required to manage a yacht of this size.

The result is a genuine long-distance cruising yacht that can be configured around a couple or reduced crew without sacrificing the space, range and comfort expected from a 54-foot flagship.
