HULL DESIGN
The Bill Dixon designed Hylas H48 will take short handed crews swiftly and comfortably anywhere in the world. There's also plenty of room for family and friends. The solid hand-laid hull sports a fine-entry forward allowing the bow to cleave waves with ease. The wide stern provides buoyancy well aft so the boat lifts readily and glides above hull speed. A lead fin keel with a 6' 6" draft works together with a partially-skegged semi-elliptical rudder for optimum windward performance. Finally, spacious reverse transom steps make for easy access to exploring beautiful anchorages.
