This is the one I own. I run an Orca 9 out of Mornington every week -- personal use and for my charter business -- so everything below comes from using the boat, not from a brochure.

8.6 metres, 3.1 metre beam, 430 litres of fuel and CE Category B. With a single Mercury 300hp V8 she runs to 87km/h. You don't need twins on this hull, and not fitting them saves you a second engine, a second service bill and a chunk of fuel.

Anodised marine-grade aluminium deep-V, powder coated, with six air chambers and tubes in Orca 866 Hypalon -- the military-grade fabric. Highfield and most of the European names fit the standard Orca 827. Under Australian UV that difference is worth years.

Rated to twenty people. Big open foredeck, proper cabin, room for tanks and tackle and a serious day out. She'll do family day-cruising and hard offshore fishing without compromise in either direction.

A 2022 Highfield Patrol 860 -- the same 8.6 metres -- was advertised in Victoria at $225,000 at the time this ad was written. Mine is $107,500, brand new, built to your specification, delivered on a registered trailer. The difference isn't the boat. It's the four businesses that normally sit between the factory and you. I've removed them, and you get the factory invoice and my fee itemised before you commit anything.
