NEW Sportsman Open 282 Centre Console

The Open 282 sits right in the sweet spot of the Sportsman range: big enough to run wide and fish properly, compact enough to tow, berth and handle without a crew. At 8.66 metres with a 3-metre beam and 22 degrees of transom deadrise, it carries the offshore manners of a much larger boat, and the SportTech all-fibreglass hull puts the weight where it needs to be to hold a line through a following sea.

Where the 282 earns its keep is versatility. Twin pressurised 114-litre aquarium livewells, macerated in-deck fish boxes either side of the leaning post and a full tackle centre with sink make it a genuine tournament platform.
