
One of New Zealands most sought after charter boats is up for grabs, with income till May. This boat was built in 1981 as a customs patrol boat, the forward cabin use to be a prison cell in its prior life so there is plenty of character and history.

With a large cockpit area boasting chillers, and a big livebait tank this boat offers an excellent fishing platform. There are large padded seating areas under cover on the engine hatches. As well as this the high bow rail, the swim platform gives anglers plenty of room around the boat. There are plenty of rod holders and rod storage throughout the boat too.
Inside the main saloon you will find a day-head/shower to the right, and to the left a large seated dining area. Forward of this is the galley with beautiful varnished timber surfaces offering plenty of bench space for prepping and serving meals.
Stepping down into the accomodation area there are berths for a max of 8 (as per survey limitations for offshore). This is split into two areas with the forward-most cabin being the old cell. The lining upholstery is being replaced.
The Flybridge helm has a central seated position with excellent visibility and lounge seating either side. The aft deck on this level looks right down over the full cockpit and has controls situated so the boat can be operated with ease while manoeuvring or fighting fish.
She is fitted out with Furuno electronics including a Navnet 3D with open array and a 1kW Furuno FCV587 sounder with performance allowing you to see fish down to around 500m. This is also integrated with a Maxsea PC system.
The bulletproof Detroit Diesel 8V71 engines pump out 340hp and are extremely reliable, the boat comes with two spare engines. Hours will continue to rise as the vessel is chartering. These have been rebuilt and the boat comes with two spare main engines and transmissions.
Built as a patrol boat Tracker II is solid fibre-glass with a deep V hull ideal for cutting through swell and remaining economic burning 23I per hour at 1100 rpm at around 8kts.
Operating out of Whakatane with Cascade Charters in New Zealand the boat comes with income opportunity as there are charters through till early June 2022. The buyer is welcome to run through these bookings and collect the remuneration.
