65.5m Medical/Supply Vessel, originally constructed in January 1986 by Ferguson-Ailsa Shipyard, Glasgow, Scotland, as a Platform Supply Vessel for operations in Canada. She was subsequently acquired by P&O for servicing the French Antarctic base from Tasmania, Australia. In 2017, the vessel was converted and recommissioned as MV YWAM Liberty, operating as a dedicated medical and humanitarian support vessel in Papua New Guinea. The vessel has benefited from significant recent capital investment. Both main engines were fully rebuilt in 2020 and have since accrued approximately 362 hours (port) and 344 hours (starboard). In 2024, the gensets were also rebuilt, and further upgrades included the installation of a new sewage treatment plant (STP), new aft air-conditioning system, and a water maker. These upgrades, combined with her proven operational history and specialised conversion, survey position the vessel as a highly capable and versatile platform for medical, humanitarian, or multi-role support operations.
