Introducing "Komodo" to the market, accommodating 18 in 2B extended survey. In 2025, Komodo underwent a major refit at a cost of over $700,000, re-entering Australian waters and meeting AMSA's 2B survey codes. Komodo presents as one of few commercial vessels in Australia that can accommodate 18 on board in 2B extended survey.
Featuring nine cabins across three levels, accommodating 18 in comfort. Komodo lends itself to research, support, hydrographic surveying, oil & gas or charter work and is in high-demand. The saloon is spacious and has twin tables, easily converted for office space. The galley on board is incredibly well set up and much larger than you'll find on most commercial vessels.
The aft deck spans 55m2, is equipped with an A-Frame (1.5T), Winch (3.5T) and in a previous life was equipped with a dive spread and chamber. The deck load is rated to 5.5T. WIth 5T of sullage storage and an on board treatment plant, Komodo is set up for extended trips into remote and restricted waters.
Komodo has a shallow draft of just 1m with 3 cubes of diesel on board. When fully laden she draws 1.4m (deck loaded and tanks pressed). Couple this with her incredible fuel economy of just 45 litres per hour at 9 knots includes generator running this is a unique and capable vessel.
