Calibre Marine built Jet Boat. After 17 years operating in Lake Macquarie & Newcastle JetBuzz Watersports is being offered for sale. JetBuzz is a well established and recognised business that has built up a great reputation as one of the best Jet Boat thrill ride businesses in Australia and has customers coming back time and time again.
$430k for Jet Boat and custom Alloy trailer including approx $20k in spare parts. $480k with the business name and website included.

JetBuzz has been Lake Macquarie's watersports headquarters since 2006, offering a unique and exciting way to explore Lake Macquarie. JetBuzz is only 1 of 2 jet boats which offer Ocean going rides on the east coast of Australia along with the only jet boat between Sydney and Gold Coast.

There is plenty of scope to expand the number of tours/rides currently offered.

The Boat: 9.5m Jet Boat running two "BRAND NEW" Turbo charged QSB 5.9 litre Cummins diesel engines (710hp). 2 x 292 Hamilton Jets. (300 engine hrs)

The jets were recently overhauled (November 2023) and 2 Brand new Engines installed.. (150 hrs) as of Sept 2022

The boat lives out of the water on it's trailer and only goes in the water when required. It does not stay in the water overnight. It's never had one barnicle on it.

The Survey: It is one of very few Open Ocean Jet boats in the country that has a full AMSA 2C survey which allows us to offer OCEAN Jet Boating. It also has AMSA 1E survey for 23 passengers plus Skipper. We currently operate 21 pax in the Lake Macquarie and Newcastle Harbour and 12 pax in the Ocean. The Ocean rides are unique and a massive drawcard to the business.

The Business: We have been operating Jet Boat rides, Boat, Kayak & SUP hire originally operating from Pelican Marina in the Swansea channel for 7 years then moving and operating from Raffertys Resort for the past 9 years.

Covid did not had a negative effect on the business. Infact when borders close business doubles so there's no inherent risk to the business whatsoever in the current climate. There have been a couple of periods where we have shut it down and we've used this time for maintenance. When overseas travel is limited and Qld borders are closed our business doubles as we then get more Sydney tourists and more local business.

The business is being split into 2 parts.

JetBuzz consisting of Lake, Harbour & Ocean Jet Boat adventure tours & charters. ($495k) Boat and business / good will.
($440k) Boat only

And

Lake Mac Watersports consisting of our resort shop, chandlery, Boat/Kayak/Sup Rentals. ($595k)
