Welcome to the Mooloolaba Canal Cruise! We are a local family run business located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, Queensland. The Mooloolaba Canal Cruise has been operating from The Wharf Mooloolaba for over thirty years and is proudly the best and highest rated cruise company in Mooloolaba.

We are moving on and are looking for a new owner to get as much joy out of this historic vessel as we have and make a million new friends.

The Vessel
Built in 1963 of oak planking and bunya pine, and originally called the 'John McMaster', our vessel the M. V. Mudjimba is a historic timber boat that began her working life as a Brisbane Cross River Ferry, operating from the suburb of Hamilton to the Apollo Street wharf in Bulimba. Her name is inspired by the nearby Mudjimba Island, located just off the Sunshine Coast near Marcoola. For Indigenous locals, Mudjimba Island is also known as 'Old Woman Island', relating to two First Nation Dreamtime stories about the Island and its creation.

Mooloolaba Sunset Cruise
Cruise the Mooloolaba waterways aboard the MV Mudjimba as the sun gracefully dips behind the majestic Blackall Mountain Range to the west of Mooloolaba. The cruise begins at The Wharf Mooloolaba moving towards beautiful Mooloolah Island. Along the way our Skipper regales guests with entertaining commentary, while the glass-fronted waterfront properties reflect the setting sun, creating a mesmerising spectacle.
