Steve Ward 55 Aluminium Vessel | AMSA 3B SURVEY | DECK CRANE

Currently in AMSA 3B Survey for 4 crew, Ramblin Rose II is a proven Steve Ward aluminium commercial fishing vessel offering a substantial working deck, strong machinery package and a practical setup for a range of commercial marine operations.

At 15.15m survey length with a 4.20m beam, she provides plenty of usable deck space while retaining the straightforward layout expected of a purpose-built working vessel. Power comes from a Caterpillar HP diesel through a Twin Disc gearbox, with approximately 10,427 hours recorded. Cruise speed is approximately 17 knots with a maximum speed around 20 knots.

A significant recent addition is the hydraulic deck crane, further increasing the vessel's versatility for lifting, pot work, equipment handling and general commercial operations.

The working deck is supported by a 23" cast-iron winch head and a transom live tank capable of carrying approximately 20 baskets, providing a practical setup for fishing, pot and trap work or other commercial applications.

A good amount of mechanical and hydraulic work has also been completed, including new throttles, steering pump, hydraulic pump, hoses and filters, exhaust manifold work, gearbox oil and filters and engine servicing. The intercooler and aftercooler were acid washed, with additional improvements including a new aft-deck shade canopy, helm chair and re-upholstered dinette cushions.

Navigation and electronics include Furuno FCV-1100L sounder, JRC plotter and radar, TMQ AP4 autopilot, Codan HF and GME VHF, providing a practical electronics package for commercial operations.
