FV Serenity Refit History

The vessel has undergone significant refit and maintenance works aimed at supporting ongoing commercial operations. In 2019, the hull was stripped back to bare timber below the waterline before being fully refastened, recaulked and sealed. Front sponsons and keel cooling blocks were also replaced during this program of works.

Further upgrades were completed in 2021, including the installation of new stainless steel side winches, stainless steel gallows, A-frame and stays. Operational improvements included a new try gear frame, electric try winch and lazy line winches, supporting efficient deck operations.

Hydraulic and Deck Systems

A new stainless steel console has been fitted and the hydraulic system has been upgraded with new hoses and boom rams. These works support reliable operation of deck equipment and fishing systems.
