Spirit Houseboat Holiday Home on Lake Eildon

As houseboats go, she might be little, but she is big on Spirit.
Spirit is ideal if you are wanting to begin the journey on magical Lake Eildon or all you need is a houseboat for two and maybe sometimes some guests. The view from duckboard on Spirit is magnificent (check the photos).
Originally built in the 1970's, Spirit underwent a major refurbishment in 2018. Most importantly the foundations of the houseboat, the pontoons were new in 2018; they are the square rectangular pontoons and not the original round pontoons. The Black Water Tank was also replaced at this time.
Spirit sparkles with the composite aluminium external cladding. The rear deck has been combined with the duckboard and with the motor box/table it provides a great space to sit back and enjoy the magical views or just throw in a fishing line to catch a mighty Murray Cod.
Another great feature of the upgrade was the alteration to the front deck to create a quiet spot to read a book or if you have guests the couch folds out to a double sofa bed. No matter what the weather presents you will always be comfortable with the R/C Air-conditioner.
The main bedroom has a concertina door to provide privacy if you have guests, if not you can relax in bed all day. It maximizes the use of this living area. The living area has an economical diesel ducted heater for the cooler days.
Even though the kitchen is compact, it has all the appliances and storage you will require plus you will enjoy the view.
Have a great conversation around the dining table for dinner and if you need to sleep even more guests it converts into another bed; similar to many caravans.
The refurbishment has seen a new bathroom with shower and vanity. The toilet is separate and internal which many people prefer (formerly it was accessed from the rear deck). `
The first storey level provides a great space to enjoy the magic of Lake Eildon. Sit back enjoy some bubbles, the sun and take in the views. A beautiful day and time for a BBQ, sit up to the very comfortable outdoor dining setting and enjoy the company. The sun canopy is new and will ensure a very comfortable and convivial dinner.
With Technology; the Mercury 60hp 4 stroke motor was new in 2018 and still appears to be in very good condition. The solar electrics have been upgraded with good capacity Inverters, Solar Charge Controllers and 4+1 Solar Panels providing adequate power for a houseboat of this size.
Spirit maybe a smaller houseboat but she has a lot of Spirit after the major refurbishment in 2018. Spirit provides a great caravan style experience on the water. You can still enjoy magnificent views from the front lounge or rear deck; enjoy the sun or a BBQ on the first storey level; you can make great memories on Spirit. This could be your opportunity to commence the journey making those special memories that will last a lifetime.
