Alexander Marine Australia are pleased to present the 2012/2023 Custom 25m Long Range Expedition Charter Yacht 'Savannah' to the market as worldwide central agents.
Constructed by Sea Spark in New Zealand, 'Savannah' is a purpose-designed long-range expedition yacht, constructed to handle extended offshore passages while offering practical living and working spaces for both guests and crew. Holding AMSA Classes 1C, 2B & 2C, and certified as a Category 2 Dangerous Goods Vessel, she has been designed to safely carry substantial quantities of tender fuel, reflecting careful attention to structural integrity, operational safety, and overall capability. With a history of extensive travel and a recent refit in 2023,'Savannah' is set up for serious cruising, offering systems, storage, and layouts suited to life at sea, whether for private use or expedition-style charter.
Boarding the vessel is via a large King StarBoard swim platform, fitted with removable stainless steel railings for security. The platform provides space for embarking from the dock or water, with stairs leading into the cockpit. The cockpit includes an aft-facing corner settee to starboard, providing seating for casual socialising. Beneath the cockpit, a 2m-wide hydraulic hatch opens down into the lazarette, equipped with an overhead lifting beam capable of lifting 300 kg from dockside, ideal for provisions or equipment. A watertight door to port off the cockpit leads directly to the engine room below, allowing maintenance or inspections without disturbing the main living areas.
The main saloon features Merbau, Teak, and Tasmanian Oak timbers, creating a warm and inviting interior. Large windows bring in natural light, while air conditioning ensures comfort in all conditions. Connectivity is supported by Starlink satellite internet, Wi-Fi available throughout the yacht and an Iridium Extreme satellite phone. Seating and dining options include a dining table to starboard and a leather sofa to port, with a Samsung 50" TV for entertainment. A day head forward to starboard adds convenience, and a watertight door provides access to the bow, allowing light and natural ventilation when open while supporting operational flexibility.
The galley, located forward to port on the main deck, is arranged for efficiency and ease of use. Appliances include a Fisher & Paykel French door 470L fridge/freezer, Smeg gas cooktop with oven, LG microwave, Bosch dishwasher and an under-counter Matador double-door drinks fridge, providing ample storage and preparation space for longer passages or charters. The layout allows multiple users to work comfortably without interrupting operations or guest activities.
Accessible via internal stairs or from the cockpit, the skylounge provides an elevated space for relaxation, observation, and social activity. Inside, a Bose 535 Home Theatre System and a hi/lo 65" Samsung TV offer media options, complemented by a large sofa for casual seating. Stepping outside, the aft elevated boat deck features an oval table for alfresco meals and 25 rod holders for sport or recreational fishing. The helm station is equipped with a single helm chair and a guest navigator seat to port, offering functional space for passage management. Pilothouse doors to port and starboard allow quick access to deck areas, while allowing for excellent natural ventilation. Navigation and monitoring are handled via a Simrad electronics suite. Directly behind the helm to starboard is the captain's cabin, featuring single bunks and a Simrad MFD repeater, allowing the captain to monitor vessel systems closely during operations.
Below deck, 'Savannah' offers four guest cabins plus an additional crew cabin, allowing accommodation for up to fourteen when needed. Two mirrored midship guest cabins to port and starboard each feature two single side-by-side beds athwartships, a 30" Samsung TV, and private ensuites. Forward, there are two bunk cabins, one with a single bunk and 30" Soniq TV, and the other with two bunks and 30" Samsung TV. The second crew cabin is forward on the same lower accommodation level, featuring two bunks and overhead hatch access up onto the bow, supporting operational efficiency. These cabins share a wet head with a separate toilet, suitable for family or younger guests. A laundry room with Fisher & Paykel washing machine and separate dryer provides practical support for extended cruising, ensuring both guest and crew needs are met.
Moving forward, back out on the deck, the expansive non-skid bow also serves as a versatile entertaining space while remaining well-suited to operational use and storage, with dedicated foredeck fuel containers enhancing her expedition capability. A 1256kg custom davit allows for safe launching and retrieval of the Brig 2.9 m RIB, and the bow provides space for securing lines and tending fenders. A large Hisense 285L chest freezer is installed aft, ideal for storing provisions, drinks, or catch during fishing excursions. The bow layout emphasises practicality and accessibility, supporting both routine and expedition-style activities aboard the yacht.
Accessed via the previously mentioned cockpit side door, the engine room houses twin Iveco FPT engines, which were installed new in recent years, supported by a late-model Solé Advance 54.5 KW generator and an additional Onan 50 KW generator. Two Sharplift water makers supply fresh water for extended passages, while the lazarette provides space for equipment and also houses a Hisense 242L fridge and 155L freezer for additional storage of provisions. Her systems are arranged for accessibility and ease of maintenance, reflecting the commitment to long-term reliability.
'Savannah' is a capable and well-considered long-range charter yacht, designed for extended offshore use. With practical layouts, extensive systems, large fuel quantity and generous storage, she is equipped to support both guests and crew on extended voyages.
