Tropic star is an Alan Payne design Motor-sailer from 1960. She has a long keel and a mast step and support for a bigger rig but has recently been converted to a comfortable motor cruiser for lazy days out. She has loads of room for entertaining with long open cockpit space, with clears and sunshade for keeping back the elements. A beautiful long table with fold out extensions offers a great dining space. There are two good sized berths forward in the cabin for napping or camping out, another lovely wooden table swings out on the mast support. There is fully enclosed electric head in the forepeak. Tropic star displays all the character of a classic timber boat but with many tastefully implemented comforts to make your day out enjoyable and easy.

Most of the under the floor area is accessible which gives access to the engine, fuel and water tanks, rudder, steering gear and various electrical and plumbing systems. The forward saloon has two long and wide bunks or lounges either side. The cockpit has seating for 6 or more around the long removable table. At the forward end of the saloon is a doorway to a head area with a sink and some cupboard storage. Behind the head is access to the electric anchor winch and chain.
