This 2010 Bavaria Sport 38 "Platinum" is a genuinely big-volume sports cruiser that feels more like a 40+ footer the moment you step aboard. She offers serious space, stability and comfort for family weekends away or extended coastal cruising.

Built by Bavaria Yachts in Germany, she delivers the brand's trademark combination of practical design, quality fibreglass construction and a very liveable layout. The deeper hull and higher freeboard translate into a larger cockpit, more storage and a surprisingly roomy feel down below compared with many other 38 ft sports cruisers of the same era.

Stepping aboard, the cockpit is where this Bavaria really shines as a social platform. The large, beamy cockpit layout offers plenty of seating for family and friends, with a Dometic fridge in the cockpit to keep drinks and food close at hand. Near-new covers provide excellent protection from the elements, extending the usability of the cockpit across the seasons, whether you're entertaining, cruising or simply relaxing at anchor.

Accommodation is genuinely family-friendly. Below deck, you will find two proper cabins; A forward master offering a queen berth & extensive storage and a generous mid-cabin with twin beds & lounge, offering good separation and privacy for family or guests. The bright saloon provides additional seating and dining space, complemented by practical storage throughout. The single bathroom is well laid out, with a toilet and shower, making life aboard easier for longer trips. The galley is well-appointed and positioned starboard to the below deck dining area while entertainment is taken care of with two HD TVs and a Fusion stereo system for relaxing after a day on the water.

Powered by twin fuel-injected Volvo Penta 5.7GXi petrol V8s, producing 320 hp each (640 hp total), this Bavaria has performance to match her looks. With low hours for her age (approx. 277 hours on the port engine and 282 hours on the starboard), she offers a comfortable 20-knot cruise and around 26 knots at the top end, making passage times shorter and days on the water more fun. Close-quarters handling is made significantly easier thanks to the combination of twin engines and bow and stern Side-Power thrusters with remote control - ideal for owners stepping up in size or berthing in tighter marinas.

One of the real highlights of this vessel is how self-sufficient it is for extended weekends away. A Hyundai 3.5 kW generator services the on-board systems, while generous fuel (approx. 650L) and water capacity (approx. 250 L) support longer stays aboard. The well-appointed galley includes Waeco refrigeration, a separate freezer and a 2-hob electric stove, allowing you to provision properly rather than "camping" on the boat.

This vessel also comes well-equipped with the practical extras buyers expect in a turn-key package. A dinghy with a Honda outboard allows for easy shore access, while the electric anchor winch and fibreglass decks keep anchoring simple and safe. Electronics include a Raymarine Axiom 9-inch depth sounder and GPS, plus a VHF radio for communications. Major mechanical and driveline overhaul - engines and sterndrives
- New Volvo Penta sterndrive transom shields (both sides), fully removed and replaced, including complete disassembly and re-fit of engines and drives, alignment and testing.
- New universal joint / input shaft assemblies fitted to both drives.
- New exhaust "bull horn" manifolds and manifold O-ring kits installed.
- Hydraulic steering ram installed and steering system bled and tested.

- Full washdown of covers and upholstery, polish of stainless steel and glass, clear polishing and sealing, and re-fit of all press studs and stay-puts.
- Hull topsides machine cut, polish and wax from waterline to rub-rail.
- Teak clean and brighten: chemical clean and brighten of teak decks with correct products and techniques.
- Hull antifoul: scrape, sand, prime and antifoul hull using International Micron Extra II ablative antifoul plus Vivid copper-free antifoul on thrusters, fittings and trim tabs.
